I spent yesterday at the Type 2 detectives boot camp.

They were pushing these : http://www.toolstop.co.uk/sealey-ppvt-a ... obe-p58393" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

They seem good but expensive. Anyone use one or got an opinion?

A simple multi-meter will be far more useful & cost about a tenner.

I have a the proper Power probe version of that, and unless you really know what your doing dont bother, use these on anything modern and you can very ewasy blow up ecu's, I have seen burnt out motors from incorect use! Im a fully qualified mechanic and know electrics well, I use a simple test light and multi meter most of the time!

Thanks guys. That ties up with my thoughts.

T2D seemed very positive about them, singing their praises and selling the, like market sellers but I did think that really they were a glorified test light and multi-meter.

Think I will save my money,
