Just wondering how easy is it to remove without a engine crane? I have 2 trolley jack's and a pallet. Also can you remove the gearbox and engine as one?

Thanks

piece of pi$$ mate.
I did mine with one trolley jack and two pairs (6 tonners ) of axle stands.
I put it back in just this afternoon with one jack, no problem at all.
no foul language and not a single scratch or bruise.

you can remove both, but its - in my opinion - easier to to remove the box on its own

Must agree i found it easier to remove the gearbox on is own.But refitted it to reinstalled engine at angle then jacked it up to bolt the rear gearbox mount to chassis.Found this method worked well on a 1Y engine conversion .

Very easy. I left the gear box in situ on a jack.

Lowered the engine on to blocks of wood (have plenty of blocks of wood to aid choking as you lower it) on top of my lads skate board, then I was able to push the engine up my drive and into the garage.

although I had to buy him a new skate board afterwards as it didn't look cool covered in oil
