Found a pretty clapped out van parked up growing green with these wheels on...

A can you clean them up and how?

Will they look good?

What would you offer someone for them?

Interesting!
They look like they have come off the A-Team van or a 70's/80's American truck.
You need to know the off-set and are you sure it's 5x112? It should be stamped on the back of the wheel somewhere.

Cheers
Steve

They look like the Mercedes fitment BBS Mahle cross spokes.

But, having looked again these are probably a Rial/ASA copy of the Mahles

It's not in a driveway unfortunately, so I guess it's leave a note on the windscreen time.

Is their an easy way to work the offset out? I used to know how to measure correctly the (CPD?) but seem to have washed it out of my head. They are on another T25.

If its already on a T25 then all should be ok. :ok

Just because they're fitted to a T25 doesn't mean they're suitable.
There's width and offset(ET) to take into consideration.

The size and offset could be stamped into the wheel near the bolt holes but it's hard to tell from that photo.
If it's not you'll need to take a wheel off and look on the back.

I suppose they could be fitted incorrectly

Cheers for the help folks.
I'm heading to the UK next week so it's going to wait a week. Unless I stumble across something else in the south of the UK

Not easy to tell from a photo, but does anyone else think the bolts look towards the inside of the wheel and not in the centre of the bolt holes?

They do, but... what you're seeing around the bolt heads is not the actual bolt hole - it's just a recess cast into the cosmetics of the wheel. The hole will be drilled behind it, and obviously much smaller. The base casting will cover a range of PCDs, then drilled according to whichever, so what you're seeing is no real indication to what the wheel itself is drilled to.

If you did clean them up.....chemical stripping .....they would be an absolute pig to keep clean.....a major consideration for ,e when choosing .....after all.....lovely wheels look orrible if covered in brake dust wheras plain jane wheels look ok if sparkly and clean.

Is that the only real way to get them clean? its something I was wandering - I quite like the slot mags or the old porsche pepper pot style wheels too so Im far from set on these!

I've had the BBS Mahle cross spokes on my van since I bought it and I hate them. I don't like the look, never have and when they become more of a priority I'll change/swap them for a set of Mercedes alloys that are much easier to clean. Your pics show what looks like a close copy of the BBS's to me:

Those, copies?: Image

The BBS Mahles do scrub up ok though - if you like the look (copied from http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche- ... ished.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) : Image

Yea they look similar!

I was going for them mainly for the fact they were all ready over here. Starting to change my mind now.

Is there a thread with loads of pictures of different wheel options? :?
