Hi all
Got a slight problem with my 1.9dg starts and runs fine until about 10 miles of driving then doesn't idle and sounds like it's running on three
Now i have changed plugs, leads, cap, rotor arm, fuel filter and vacuum pipes can anyone else give me any clues on what next?
Cheers

Something getting hot and breaking down (Hall sender/TCI unit etc)
Something getting blocked (fuel filter/air filter/small inlet carb filter/dirt in the fuel tank or lines) fuel tank vacuuming.

Sounds like a carburettor issue if adjusting the idle prevents it stalling.

As Martin suggests it sounds like the usual Pierburg carb set up issues, firstly check for vacuum leaks, check all the pipes, from pull down unit to carb, from carb to dizzy. From manifold to brake servo . Any leak from these will cause weak mixture after the choke has come of, and poor running.
The large pipe to the servo is one that people overlook ... , it gets porous with age and this one could cause a missfire on the left side bank especially , wrap a plastic bin bag around it and see if the engine note improves.
