Diesel question .Non VW

Not a VW but has anyone changed a Diesel Injector /seal on a common rail engine ?
Its a citroen C2 1.4 Turbo, same engine as Ford fiesta, Mini etc....
It has developed a Chuff Chuff from one of the injectors, fairly common by the looks of things,and caused by the copper washer/seal failing. Every write up that I have found says that it is a swine of a job, as the leak causing a build up of carbon making it difficult to get the injector out.... I have asked 2 local independents to do the job and both are suddenly so flush for work that they didnt bother coming back to me
, looks like I will be getting my hands dirts on something else rather than the van !
so has anyone here done one? any tips or advice ?
