Just been given a 5 m length of this flexible led lighting strip , even got adhesive on the back .
So far I'm well chuffed with it, you cut it to length then solder your wires on it.
I've put a strip in each foot well as its a tad dark in there and also a piece above the glove box turned on by a new contact switch . Ill post some pics up if anyone's interested along with pics of the soldered connections .

I've got a set, do you have the remote with it? I have one that colour changes and has various options. I plan to install it hidden around the edge of the pop top.

It's single colour , white . Neighbour did say you could get one that changed colour . Would be like a bloody disco bus . I'm going round jambo thinking of places to put it . Gonna have to buy some more now

I got some too, still to install it. Saw it on sale at a show for £6.50/m - was impressed so left stall and bought 5m on ebay mobile for £7 before moving on to next stand

always feel a little guilty when i do things like that (the guy had put out his outlay, spent time and effort soldering etc and more importantly really engaged me as a customer), but by the time I have bought what i would have wanted for the van (about 4-5m in total at various lengths) the cost just becomes rediculous

Just remember there are leds and then there are leds. The quality and brightness between identical spec leds can be astounding, as I've seen many times over!

I bought a 5m waterproof strip of 3528 'pure/day white' LEDs from ebay here. I used them in a continuous strip around the inside of my pop-top roof, then snipped them in the middle and put a switch at each end so that my children could operate one half each. The full strip uses about 25W, so each half uses approximately 50% more power than the 8W fluorescent lamp that I'm assuming would have been in the pop top originally. The light from them is fantastic though - much brighter than the 'downstairs' fluorescent lamps, and even with the downstairs lights off the light from 'upstairs' lights up the whole van.

LIDL had some a while back, the length of a door opening for £7.99 - even had a switch. What I liked about it was the fact that although it was clearly multi-coloured, the light given off was actually a soft white. It stuck neatly to the underside of my top sliding door bracket without fouling anything. I've had to disconnect it at the mo as I'm ripping the interior apart, but I might even wire mine to the door switch. Just wish I'd bought a load of them now...

Been away for 4 nights and the LEDs are fantastic, ones under dash are connected to the front cab courtesy lights and come on when front doors are opened. Gonna fit a length over sliding door and maybe one along the top edge of the rear door wired to a door switch.
Was parked up Saturday night and a huge gin palace arrived with LEDs down both sides , top and bottom and an elaborate design across the back , Andrea asked me to pop round and ask for a couple of hot dogs with onions. That was a bit too much
