P;lease help..

Ok ,, have a 1985 vw T25 ,, fitted with a AAZ golf/passat diesel turbo engine.

The accelerator cable has gone.

But finding it hard to get a correct replacement.

Took the old one out think is says gemo 684 170?

Any body help me on this please

When I went to a 1.9 I just used the original as there was no need to change it - what makes you think that yours is not the standard diesel one?

when i asked the previous owner about it he said he thought he had one made up...

The end bit that fits onto the engine is metal which has a metal spring clip to keep it in place.

All the others Ive seen look plastic?

Usually plastic with a metal clip. I don't know why anyone would need to have one made up.

yes thats why Ive kind of held back buying the normal 1.6 turbo/ non turbo diesel one

Well got that cable...

It doesnt fit

Has a plastic end that is about 5 to 7cm to short !!

Has the lever on the pump been changed or adapted? This is where pictures would be of help. There must be something that has changed for it to not fit.

Maybe the steering wheel is on the wrong side?

well have sent the original broken cable to Speedy Cables , a firm recommended by JK

Have ordered 2.

Will post some pics on here when i get them back for you to look at.
