Yea, never named cars previously. But think the wife is keen!? Usually my cars develop there nick-name 'the dog' 'the boat' 'the ...' well lets just say its based on there flaws!

think the photo is deceiving, she is a little more rusty then it shows.

Any suggestions on how I can work out the conversion type?

Here is my first bit of DIY. Fusebox for leisure battery take off point on a home made bracket. I'm pretty smug with myself but I would like to hear people's honest thoughts! :)

had to cut down the bolts they were too long, and the head was bigger than the nut so a bit of creative blu - tacking!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Good looking van and good to see you enjoying it.
Tip.
Best way to cut a bolt to length; spin the nut on towards the head of the bolt, grip the 'waste' part of the bolt in the vice with the head sticking out. Cut to length, clean up the bolt end with a file, finally remove the nut to clean the last of the threads. Result, bolt undamaged, correct length and the nut fits!
:ok

You're right, thats how I used to do it!!!

I usually use hex heads and clamp it between the nut and bolt head... your way makes more sense!

I also file the end of the bolt to a slight taper before winding the nut off, it helps ensure the nut goes on easily.
