Is CT tinware same as anything else?

Hi, totally new to air cooled here and finding my way slowly.

I've got a T25 van with a 1600 CT engine in it. The van was originally water cooled but now has this air cooled engine in it. It looks like it's only got one bit of tinware on it and I'm struggling to find more. Is the tinware that goes on this engine specific to it or will items from other engines fit and work properly?

I also need a full exhaust system which seems hard to find. I'm beginning to think that this 'bargain' van may be about to cost me a lot more than a more expensive one with all the right bits on it. I'm also thinking that it might be cheaper to ditch the CT and put in something else.

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

The tinware is specific to this model. And running the van without all of it is not a good idea.

If it was watercooled its ideal for a VW 2e or agg petrol engine conversion from a Golf or Passet. You need a T25 diesel bell housing & sump.Wiring loom & a fabricated exhaust down pipe to fit a suitable silencer. If the coolent pipes and radiator are fitted use T25 diesel rubber coolent hoses to connect .Its not a hard conversion & engines are cheap as chips

which bits do you need?

I have 2 parts for the upper engine , in very good condition.

leaving a piece of tinware off an Aircooled engine is like removing a water pipe from a watercooled engine!
