Two questions:

Can anyone tell me how long these things last? ie 20 000 miles or 2 years

Also is there an easy way of installation?

Got a big block of metal/pipework in the way of three of the plugs

Any advice appreciated

It can be done with the pipework remaining in place but is a fiddly job. You just have to find a suitable spanner and persevere! https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Pa ... ug_spanner is one but I prefer a shorter one to get in there.

stuff loads of rag between pump and block to catch anything that drops like tiny nuts ,take out the plugs and when fitting new ones connect the 2 awkward buggers loosely to the removed buzz bar with the tiny nuts but leave nuts backed off a thread or two to allow plugs to spin freely. feed them into holes by holding buzz bar and with small screwdriver to pop them into holes in head.Start them in the most gentle manner poss. into thread and don't force them. If in doubt turn them backwards and start again, as long as they're loose in buzz bar they go in ok. This is method I use rather than trying to put tiny nuts on after they're fited in head.

Did mine two weeks ago, bit fiddly but no dramas. I didn't do the buzz bar thing above - I put some grease in the ring spanner to hold the little 8mm glow plug nut in and cleaned them up afterwards.
