Hi all,
Great forum and already spoke to some really helpful peeps on the facebook page. Many thanks for making me feel welcome!
Well first post, which could have been covered before but advanced search didnt throw back anything to use, so hang fire with the hot coals :D
I would like to fit courtesy lights that come on when sliding door opens and passenger, currently only have one light over drivers side. Can anyone recommend a nice donor car to attack at the scrapyard's? I'm assuming I could 'T' in to the driver side courtesy light and run a circuit round to other doors consisting of lights and door switches?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Pete

Any donor car would do as there all 12v. Might be easier just to wire in a new light on a switch. Not sure where you would put the switch/sensor for a courtesy light? Are they normally fitted in the door. Also you would have to re wire the circuit to the leisure battery as it would quickly flatten the battery when camping if it came on every time you opened the door.

You can get a 12v strip light of somewhere like amazon for under a tenner.

You can fit the original lights in, they are only a few quit new, the holes are already there covered by a blanking plug behind the headlining and the switch holes have blanking plugs as well, you have to run new cables up the A and B posts.
