Having trouble with my dipstick. The 'stopper' or whatever you call it is moving and therefore cannot get an accurate level.
Any ideas? I assume that there is something missing to stop the movement.

Bend the bottom bit up and fit it through the plastic part. The end of the dipstick should be a complete loop not open ended as shown in the photo.

Thanks guys for the reply. A friend sent me a photo of her dipstick (fnarr) and I saw the obvious error.

Hi Nobby, if I where you I'd bin it. They're readily available from a scrappey or I've seen them new on serial-kombi for about 20euro.

Why??????? Nothing wrong with it!
