Fuel Pump pipe

Hi

Just tried fitting new Brickwerks "budget" fuel pump to my 1989 1.9 DG engine. Found the inlet pipe on pump has outside diameter 8.5mm compared to my old pump which is 6.5mm.

Result is the flexible " rubber" petrol pipe won't fit.

I wondered if anyone else had come across this and what they have done about it ?

The pipe from the petrol tank is narrow bore polyamide - does this need replacing with 8mm "rubber"

Thanks
Paul

Thanks for quick reply.
Looks like that should do the job.
Got one ordered now.

I warmed my narrow hose in a cup of hot water and wiggled it onto the pump. (it was a new 6mm hose not old and hard)

Trouble is with doing that it may work for some materials but others you can put them beyond the limits of their elasticity and lead to premature failure.
