hi all just a bit of a heads up on a starter motor i bought from gsf a year or so ago ,ive had intermitent starting issues when turning the key there was nothing ,then turn again and away she went ,then last night it was just nothing every time i turned the key ,first i thought it was the battery,but had 12 volts there so no probs there , so i reached down to the solenoid on top of the starter motor and it was haging off ! the two star bolts fixing the solenoid to the starter motor body had worked loose ,but luckily the bolts had fallen out were just resting on the ali casing so it was just a case of screwing them back in and hey presto no more starting problem ,surely thease star bolts shouldnt work loose and fall out ! ,anyway just a heads up if youve got a gsf starter motor CHECK THEY ARE NIPPED UP! otherwise it might catch you unawares when you least want it ,just like me im off to france today and this happened last night ,hence up at 6 to fix !
