I don't posses either a haynes or the bently manuals. Can somebody tell me thetorque values for the oil pressure sensor and the turbo oil feed union please?
If these values are somewhat generic then can I use any other car manual, say, a vauxhall carlton?
Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon,Bentley says 12nm/8.5ft lb,Justkampers says 1.0kgm/7.2ft lb both for the sender on the front of the head(above the heater water feed pipe).
No info for the oil feed pipe(I just did mine up tight!!).
You back in Spain?

Aah, right cheers for that Brian. Yep back in spain and trying to get the bus up and running again.
The oil filter housing has stripped a thread where the pressure sensor screws in. It's not completely stripped though so I reckon I can use it still until the replacement arrives from the UK.
8.5 and 7.2 ft/lbs is only just above finger tight really, just a quick nip up with a short spanner should do it.
I'm hoping to compensate for the lack of threads at the top by using PTFE tape. I know it's only temp but the van is the only vehicle with a tow bar and I have to move my trailer before tuesday (blocking the neighbours parking space).
The oil feed pipe is no problem, that has a coarser thread so shouldn't strip out.
I'm off back to Scotland on Tuesday for a medical and the final Advanced First aid refresher then bringing back some of the family for their holidays.

Blue thread lock?....the buzzer of doom might go off if the sensor isn't earthed!!
