Fridge not so cold on gas

Hi All,

Ive got a old but in good condition Electrolux RM123e 3 way fridge. Works perfect when plugged in, OK on 12v but doesnt seem to get very cold on gas. Ive had it out and had a look and the flue and pipes etc. all looks healthy. Ignites with problem and I can see the flame adjust between 1-2-3 settings. However when I I run on the highest setting it still doesnt really get that cold.

Should it be as cold as when on 230V? or does the temp vary between 230-12- and gas?

ANy one experienced similar?

Any suggestions welcome.

Matt

Worth checking you are on flat ground, from my experience the gas needs a flat standing otherwise it will not cool as well.

ive a rm122 fridge it works of the battery ok but dont get that cold on gas,but what i did was take fridge out and gas bottle and fired it up on the floor just running a pipe from bottle to fridge and it worked much better.

so you would say that was down to gas pressure or perhaps blockage?

i did replace the regulator and blew out the pipes with an airgun, but have noticed a kink in the pipe,so this may be a problem.
