Anti roll bar drop link

Sorry to post this again but new to forum so still learning...

My T25 failed MOT and needs new anti roll bar drop links but garage cant source anywhere.. JK say are obselete... Help pls!

What year is the van? There were two different types of drop link, that changed in about 1985 (I think, but somebody will correct me if this is wrong). They are parts 8 or 8a in this diagram:

Here's the early one (Part no. 251 411 051):

Early ARB droplink (Brickwerks)

and the later one (Part no. 251 411 051A):

Late ARB droplink (VW Heritage)

JK even have the early (repro) ones on a "buy one, get one free offer" at the moment.

On the straight ones (8a in diagram), if the threaded part has broken, you can cut off the remains, drill out the thicker part and screw in a new piece of studding. Not everyone has the facilities but its possible.

I tell you what though, if your droplinks are shot, you won't half notice the difference on corners after they're sorted. :D You won't have to keep slamming the brakes on every time you turn left or right. :rofl
