I have an earth from the rcd which is currently going nowhere. Should this go back to the hook up box?
Secondly does anyone know the layout of the 4 way clear connections 2 for the pump 2 for the level . I know which are the earths but don't know where the earth at the other end.

The earth from the hook-up should be connected to the van body, so take the earth from the RCD to the van body, too.

any idea how this attaches to the body?

Wherever you want 'em to. The whole bodyshell should be earthed. Find a good place that'll give you a good connection.

Okay maybe I should ask the question in a different way. Is there an official earth point on a westfalia club joker ? I was not questioning whether the earth should be connected merely where it should most logically be attached in the tidiest way. And thanks for your concern.....
