Please sign below if you intend to come to Devon this year, we need to know numbers for camping and for planning routes etc.

We will be camping at Post Wood Gardens campsite - there are toilets and hot showers.

You are welcome to arrive from Thurs 1st August and stay as long as you like.

NB Last year it was found that very few people were carrying:

a. a decent spade / mattock
b. suitable tow strops, shackles
c. strong ratchet straps or Sylvester hand-winch
d. tree strop
e. waffle boards
f. pruning saw

We do not expect everyone to bring all items, but at least some, a good spade being essential.

CB radio also recommended or portable CB another alternative (like the one the marshals were using at SP )

================================
On the other hand it rained for months before last Devon event! ==============

Navigation
We have noticed that fewer and fewer people are running MemoryMap or similar navigational software, so please bring (buy, borrow or beg) OS maps for the area. We do not expect you to have all these maps, but even one or two would be helpful.

These include:
Explorer 110, 114, 115, 128,
OS 1:25k Dartmoor

We can provide overlays in various formats for other navigational systems on smartphones.

Think Jenny said...
Postwood Gardens

Plenty of time yet.... as with all 3 official SN events, info is sent out about a week before.
Thats why we like pre bookings and /or expressions of interest.

Likewise, would like to be there and see what it's like when dry (shhh!) Don't think we've got any calendar fixtures to mess it up.

Shovel, mattock, bow and pruning saw, 1.8T ratchets x 4, MM on the GoBook (must get that nailed on the dash  )

Hi All,

I will be down on Fri evening at the latest. May only be able to stay Fri night and Saturday returing to Cornwall after lanes on Sat evening. We are in the middle of moving house and I'm not sure how much time I'll be allowed off or how much time it would be politic to take off!!

Will have waffles, shovel, tow strop and rope, Hi Lift, saw and HD ratchet straps. Oh, and CB. Could bring a small chain saw if you want?

Pete

Pickups being ever-so-slightly wider a l'arriere than a tin-top bus, of course
