AAZ Alternator, which wires ?

Just installed an AAZ and need to confirm the wiring to the alternator, I have searched the forum but with no exact answer. I have a large red (+) cable which obviously goes on the large alternator post but then I have a red and a blue wire. The terminals are different to the original JX set up but one needs to go to the threaded bar at the bottom of the alternator and that just leaves the spade terminal at the top, could someone please just confirm which way round they go, many thanks.

Have now found a post on Brickyard that says that the red/black trace wire goes on the pos+ terminal with the thick red to the battery. Also that the blue goes to the plug connector on the side, I have now wired it up and still have a permanent battery light on the dash and no charge going through to the battery, The alternator was fine in the golf when I bought it but now appears to be fooked, any other suggestions please ?

Blue wire = D+ terminal (Charge lamp)
Red/Black wire = W terminal (Tach signal)

You haven't plugged the blue into the suppressor terminal by mistake have you?
Put up a pic of the rear of your alternator.

I have no terminal markings other than the B+ one, I have now wired the blue and red/black to the plug terminal ( bit lacking in space in there) but the battery light is still on ? and its not showing a charge to the battery. Earths are bolted to the top of the water pump and then back to bodywork, Which one is the suppressor terminal ? I have a feeling that the alternator is now knackered either down to me or purely coincidence ?
