90mph uphill!!

Did anybody realise that the speedo drive on a Syncro turns at double the speed of that on a 2WD van?

My Syncro's speedo went kaput so I replaced it with a secondhand one from a 2WD Type 25, only to find that it registers double speed and clocks up double mileage! D'oh

Anybody know where I could get a proper Syncro one - the novelty of climbing hills at 90mph soon wears off!

yeh you need to match the numbers at the bottom of the dial, mine has '1000' on it if memory serves me right.

Think Si Brickyard did a survey on these bit ago

Try Syncronutz / Syncrospares for the dials, if you end up buying the complete pod and it has a petrol rev counter in it (and you don't want it) I'll cross your palm with silver

Aye... Syncro's take their speedo drive from the front Diff...

Like BB says, speak to either of those breakers and they should be able to sort you out.

I'd like a revcounter in mine but that's a future luxury  For now I'll settle for a working speedo and milometer!

Mine also has 1600 at the bottom. The secondhand 2WD instrument has 805! If only I'd asked you guys first...

CJ, dare I ask the price? (don't give a hoot about the mileage)....
