Close call today - draining the coolant for a change and found an original spring hose clip had broken, the upper one of the two on the rad. Rusted in place so not easily noticeable as it was solid to the touch and out of sight! Glad that didn't go whilst in the back of beyond.

I had one of the clips rusted out on my front to rear pipes, god knows how it stayed on. Only noticed because I was under there looking at something else
