I've found that my reversing light switch is faulty. I bought a new one from brickworks and fitted it but now the reversing lights are on permanently. Any one got any ideas why?

Yes, add a washer to it, but once off the vehicle, stick a meter across the terminals and make sure that operating the plunger does actually turn the switch on and off..

Washer added. I now have reversing lights. It does beg the question - why is a washer not provided with the part.
Thanks for your help covkid.

Varying thickness of washer may be required for correct operation.
