Hi, I'm trying to find a good mechanic for my T25 Petrol 1900cc in my local area. I have found a good engineer but I have to source parts and after a recent experience (2 day fitting of my shiny new stainless exhaust) he left me with a clear message that he's not that keen to do anymore.Dubstruction is near, has anybody had any work done by him/them? I'm about 45 mins drive from Holmfirth and like Brickwerks but need someone a bit closer(with shorter lead times ?).
Thanks Steve

If you do find anyone let me know because when and if the time comes for me to find a reliable mechanic i'm stuffed. The local garage has closed last month and when i was asking around for help with my van last year i was met with a total lack of enthusiasm. I had a chance encounter with a fellow t25 owner in Macclesfield at the time and he mentioned two mechanics who had done work on his van before but i haven't used them because i ended up doing the work myself. They were Cottage St garage 01625 426507 and J and B Motors Bridge Mill Clowes St 01625 431892 both in Macclesfield.
Think i'll probably contact a few of the guys who are members of 80 90 Jim Painter in Crewe 07854516387, Brickwerks or Muddy Fields Campers Warrington 01925 444359, i think theres also a vw place in Stretford.
David.
