second leisure battery

hi everyone i have just been given a leisure battery and I was thinking about connecting it to my other leisure battery so I can have a bit more running time for my tv and other 240v things.is this straight forward should I just piggyback the leads + to + with an inline fuse and neg to neg ,cheers dave :ok

Yes indeed.....if this extra battery is located in another place then earth it locally to bare metal, no need to run BOTH positive and negative wires, just one new positive lead (50 amp cable with 40 amp fuse) and an earth lead straight to the body (or other negative terminal if next to eachother).
