Cheers Mark, it's on the agenda for next week mate along with the changing of the alternator regulator! It really baffles me how someone could have left something like that - i mean you can visually see how bad they are even if you were just putting air in the tyres for example!

Take nothing for granted, I regularly check the tyre pressures but have no idea what condition the pipes are in - that will change tomorrow as it'll be high on my list of things to look at after work.
Little posts like this are an invaluable 'heads-up' for those of us with less exparience around t25's.
Cheers.

No worries what2d, glad the thread has been of assistance mate

The arches were actually caked in mud as well so word of advice is to keep all your arches as clean as possible as this should also delay the ol' dreaded tin worm as well. I'm going to give mine another going over and spray in some more Dynax S50 when i'm happy they're clean enough just to slow the process down as much as possible.

As others have hinted....you are able to see the two hoses each side but there are another 4 sections exactly the same attached to the tank and they will very likely be in the same condition. 1 metre does a full set. (5.5mm?) Brickwerks sell it.

get mine from GSF, usually do the whole length in new hose rather than the 4 short ends

Cheers chaps. I've actually got about a meter or so of 5.6mm fuel pipe left over from when i changed the other lines which is handy. Should these have clips on them as well? Also, those other pipes to the fuel tank - are they easily accessible of is it a tank out jobbie?

Not easy to access but not impossible.
I believe the two on the metal breathers have clips, the others don't.

None had clips when I changed the lines on ours - but our tank had been done in the not-too-distant past. I can't picture how you'd get to clips to tighten them...
There's no pressure on that part of the fuel system - not even the low pressure of a carb fuel pump, let alone injection pressure - so clips wouldn't be needed to resist that. It's basically just airflow, with the possibility of some liquid as it sloshes about on filling, and a slight gravity head when the tank's properly full-full.
We didn't clip ours - at any of the ends - and (as far as I can tell) it's been fine since.
