Is it?
Had new fuel filter fitted and its pooling in the top,
Also inj leak pipe is wet
and mysterious leak from some were else running down the off side engine mount suport and dripping from the mount?
Will the rubber mount now be "un serviceable" ?

???????

Will the rubber mount now be "un serviceable" ?
I guess it all depends on how long it has been getting leaked upon,,,
Regards
Fritz,,,,
PS, the fuel leaks should be simple enough to sort out by a Diesel Donkey Fitter....

mate, if it drips on the mot examiners floor. it fails!! if it was a commercial vehicle leaking, it would be "gv9" confiscated, until it was fixed.

Of course a fuel leak fails, ever hit a patch of Diesel on a roundabout?
If your leaking fuel fix it quick!

Cheers guys,
traced leaking fuel filter to the return valve!
Don't think it was changed from new, besides it broke up when i popped it out looked like it was a 2half component one from JK's went in no more leaks.
Wet inj pipe, mmm still a bit worried, the unions on the hi pressure lines look worn (on & Off a few times) so not making a good seal! Used some Merc omni fit gasket goop! So far so good!
The other leak I traced to the union off the inj pump not loose but not tight enough! A bit more goop, so far so good!

I am pleased to hear you have fixed that diesel leak. Otherwise I'd have dragged you out of your van ripped your arm off and beaten you to death with it. I ride a motorbike by the way. Its no fun having to jam your foot down to save your bike at 70mph you know!

You need split-ring spanners for those injector unions ideally, sounds like on/offs with open-endeds. You should really remove inspect, clean and refit, ensuring pipe is being pulled. held 'out' of the joint as you first hand-tighten down, just like you do naturally with hydraulic brake pipe unions, then nipping up gently.
One or two have probably been yanked up stupidly and that amost guarantees problem. If you see a set of pipes going, get them!

Thanks again for the posts,
I know what u mean about spills on the road, had a Vespa T5 up until a year ago!
The leak was miniscule and leaked onto the engine block and cooked off!
I only noticed after a good check over b4 MOT, not cos there was a rainbow slick every were I went.
A I think a set o pipes is in order cos I can't go on nippin' up!
cheers.

PTFE tape? Not sure if that would work like it does on normal plumbing fittings or be a problem in itself.
