OK so it's a bit "niche", but I have requested a quote for 5 or 10 of these in 5mm steel, laser cut in one piece and ready to weld. They will be slightly lighter than my 1/4" one, which is a bit of an overkill in hindsight...
c/w 21 holes @ 40mm dia (a few more were added under the gearbox after this pic) inc. a "straight to it" sump drain plug access hole plus the elongated one for getting a tool on the trans drain plug.

I will put the relevant bends into the plates and also work out a price for doing the whole job i.e. cutting out the centre span (the bit with 3 holes), flattening the rear span, welding the plate on and shipping costs.

IIRC a few liked the idea when it was last mentioned, so if you start a list and state if just the plate or the full service is required.

Delivery 2015 :rofl

Price structure as follows, I need 5 orders to make this viable:

Supply plate c/w bends, ready to weld to straight bars DIY £36.50

Straighten & flatten bars (within 2mm typically) prior to cutting and welding £25

Cut out centre span, cut and mod. rear span, weld on plate inc. fully seam weld end brackets £45

UK p&p by courier (UK Mail) £15. Overseas please provide full address inc. postcode for a quote (UPS or DHL)

All subject to vat at 20%

When you send your bars, make sure they are in a dry, oil- and dirt-free condition or a £20 cleaning charge will apply...

Note: Plate weighs ~9kg, measures approx. 1050 x 400 x 30 packed. Finished bars weigh ~14kg.

PS I will put up a fresh pic of galved shineyness tonight.

Indeed, Em. If you're bars are straight enough then I won't charge for offering a straight edge up to them.

Some out there will be proper banana'd/taco'd/whatever.... the more difficult they are to re-fit, the worse state they are in and then there's the state of the mounting tabs on the crossmember (I still have one reinforcing kit left on the shelf, if anyone's interested)
