Hi Dave
You need to have a look at your Piston Crowns and check what damage the bent valves have done, somtimes when Pistons have been Kissing the valves, you may expect to have bent con/rods This is due to Pump Timing has been set wrongly.
I have replied to your PM you sent me, Have a good read, then contact me.
I have used a company called Diesel Craft in Widnes. I can highly recommend there work, Servicing of pumps/injectors, etc. But Refurbed Cylinder heads dont come Cheap. contact me.

Yes you might find a serviceable head on eBay or on here a lot cheaper.
Plus all the costs of refitting prob about £100 bolts cambelt kit and gasket
I'd get it running first before spending money on inj pp rebuild. What makes u think it needs that

No. The pistons cannot strike the valves on account of the injection pump timing being incorrectly set.
The pistons can strike the valves if the crank-cam timing is out. The injection pump timing is irrelevant.
