Arggghhhh what have I done

I have been having trouble with my van with starting and running I have been doing the timing on it and like. Numpty I started it with the timing peg still in what damage can this do am I looking at a recon head or more? Engine is a 1.6 jx td

You proberly pulled the belt off the camshaft pulley teeth .This can cause the pistons to hit open valves.Bent valves &jammed cam buckets a possibility.Oh engine would have been at TDC with the peg through the cam sprocket the valves would be closed.So only damage should be the timing belt.
