no spark, running out of ideas...

We have a 1982 2l Aircooled cu.
It ran perfectly all the way to cornwall and back last week, however on sunday (day after we returned) it stopped running. There is no spark from the coil to the king lead although it has sparked two times.

So far nige has:
Replaced the ignition amp
Changed HT leads
Tried 3 different coils
The hall sender was replaced with a 2nd hand one last year
Checked as many earths as he can find

Still nothing :(

Any ideas on what else to check / eliminate?

There is a tiny black box just above the coil with 'trust' written on it which nige thinkscould be an immobiliser but we weren't aware if one being fitted.

Is there power at the coil with the engine cranking? The ignition switches are utter crap - I ALWAYS have a spare.
