Oil filler extension tube replacement

The plastic extension tube bit for putting the oil in that runs up to the letter box at the back of my van is missing. So far I've only been able to find the entire thing (http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php/t ... iesel.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) - I only need the black plastic bit so don't want to have to shell out for the whole thing and then drain the oil to fit it. Don't suppose if anyone knows if you can source the individual parts or do I just have to get on with it?

Also as an aside, has anyone got a quick piccie / description of what the letter box should look like from the outside? Specifically any release mechanism for opening it - mines got a (knackered) lock on it to the RHS of the number plate, but the mechanic I was speaking to the other day said he hadn't seen one like that before. Going to have a nose round but curious if anyone is able to clear it up for me (and fed up of having to reach through the engine bay every time I want to check the water and oil!)

We've got the lock on ours, too - an option when new, it seems. Works from the ignition key. Turn the key, and the operating rod pulls the little latch at the top of the cat flap, allowing it to be opened. Fairly simple, and should be a doddle to disable if the lock barrel's definitely dead. Ours needed a good lube and exercise to work properly.

Adrian, cheers - it feels like someone has snapped something off in the lock once upon a time so either needs fettling or replacing - I can manually unlock it by pulling the rod across, just have to take the cover off the engine bay and reach in first though!

Seems like no joy on the plastic extension piped :(
