Sorry for posting this on Syncro but figured your more likely to have these fitted to Syncros than 2wd's.
I need to buy a safari roof rack/box with the intention of fitting a roof tent and wondered what people are using and where to buy one that would fit off the shelf (in an ideal world..)
I'm fitting it on a tin top which will eventually have a westy roof conversion done in 6 months or so.

I've got Rhino Mega bars from a Disco holding up the Prime Tech tent but they are a bit high-rise

so I have cut them down. The T3 roof is 150mm from gutter to roof crest on a tin-top, so you need to get that under whatever bars or rack you fit.

I bought a full Transit roof rack and cut it down to the required width. But I have seen flat transit roof racks that bolt to the Thule roof bars.
Not yet put mine on it on as its so blinking heavy!!

The Shogun/pajero aluminium trays are pretty good, and do come up regularly on a well known auction site. Expect to pay between £100 and £150. Some have width adjustable legs, others need to be fixed to bars. Good versatile units, and not too heavy either.
