Hello just bought a vacuum advance unit from brickwerks and wondered if its an easyish job to fit or best left to the professionals?

Do it yourself.
Look how it comes apart, very easy.
1 or 2 screws hold the unit on (can't remember now) then just un-hook the lever inside - fitting is just the reverse.
Takes about 10 mins.

Two screws from the outside and normally an E clip on the arm of the unit fastening it to the base plate. As said, 10 minutes, just be careful not to drop the E clip.

Job done, thanks guys, bit more than 10 mins but mostly due to screws being set in tight. Autotune guy came and did his stuff and van is now sounding sweeter than Beyonce after a packet of Lockets!! Highly recommend Jim Parkes tuning if you're in the Sheffield area and your van needs some tlc. Very knowledgeable and very cheap( in my opinion).
