Trying to do everything myself, which as you all know is quite a steep learning curve!!

Am getting on alright so far (touch wood) through a combination of reading this forum, the brickyard, the wiki and my Haynes manual, but as we want her on the road by summer (August) I'm wondering whether this oil leak may be too sinister for me to tackle on my own.

Worse when it's warm, and especially since I cleaned off all the mess that was there already. No sign of a leak from above, but underneath..







Am planning on replacing seals etc, but am worrying this is something scarier...

Crankshaft oil seal
Drop the gearbox for this one.

Never done anything like that before, so sounds a little daunting.

Anybody have any hint or tips that would be useful? Tend to think there's nothing better than experience in these circumstances!
