AAZ glow plugs problem

The glowplugs on my AAZ 1.9 td dont always stay on long enough. They either fully cycle ( approximately 10 seconds ) or cut off after 1/2 second. This only happens occasionally with no obvious pattern. I'm thinking maybe an iffy relay or earth? I replaced the glow plugs about 3 months ago. Ive had this problem only about 2 weeks now.
