Best place for 2nd water temp sensor & oil pressure sensor

I would like to add two a additional gushes to the dash. Water temp and oil pressure. However, looking round the engine tonight there doesn't seem to be an obvious place to mount thd additional sensors. Has anyone done this before? If so what route did you take?

i used a in line water temp, cut in r hand water pipe and conect tube with 2 jubily clips.run wire to affter market
gauge.(i payed £90 from jks) lots on e-bay at £40 all in. also got adapter that fits between oil filter conected
oil temp elec and oil pressure switch looks ok and works well. good luck

After 25 years driving v-dubs I tend to think that less is more. You just end up worrying more.

Oil pressure doesn't need to be directly mounted on the engine - you can move the low-rev OP switch from between the pushrod tubes to a T-piece on the end of a flexi extension, and put the gauge sender with it.
Wouldn't it be easier to get your existing water temp gauge working? Unless you meant oil temp - in which case, that does need to be mounted in full oil flow. Probably an adapter plate on the oil filter mount? If it's something you're concerned about, p'raps use the adapter plate to have take-off to a thermostatic air-oil cooler, too?
