Just ordered a new oil pump and cover to try and sort my low pressure problem. Brickwerks cannot supply the nuts which I'm sure somebody here said must be replaced. Can I reuse them or can anybody supply them???..Andy

I got mine from vw heritage, they do the correct nuts with the seal on the face that contacts the pump cover. Not expensive either.

I know you are supposed to use new ones, but can anyone tell me (us) why ?

'cause they have the correct seal, the seal deforms and seals the thead as well as the face of the nut
