Hi,
I have to replace all four arches and front steps, can anyone tell me the best place to get panels?, which are the best fit/quality?
Also has anyone had a tdi conversion done by Ultimate Engineering in Bristol? and if so, any good?
Cheers.

Aren't Klokkerholm are the ones everyone sells? That one looks just the same albeit without black primer

I have just had a Klokkerholm front arch - absolute rubbish. The beans that I had for tea came in a thicker can! Ripples all over and two welded up dings covered up with the original labels!!! I managed my repair with the best part and ditched the rest. I would have sent it back but needed to get it done there and then.

Cant really comment on the quality of panels as they all seem to be as bad as each other-so body cuts seem to be the way to go if you want a good fit/thickness.!
Tim shettle at Ultimate Engineering will give you a good service and is constantly evolving the range of engines/transmissions he fits to the T3 variants you drive in with your knackered jx/cs and drive out with a 5/6 speed tdi. I did my own installation but tim provided me with my modified engine loom which was 'plug and play' and was always happy to discuss all aspects of conversion sharing do's and don'ts if you go down the do it yourself route.
well worth talking to him to see what he can do within your budget.

Fine when you can find them as a lot have gone out of manufacture. Only one arch still available from classic and the price of that is prohibitive when compared to a good body chop
