Loving it mick people are sound, place is great I may start considering myself a northerner not a midlander :rofl

I have heard about that place Nigel is it worth a visit, after we saw you we went left over the cattle grate and it looked prime for some wild camping on those hills.

Yes Phil well worth it, beautiful up there, can climb the waterfall etc. will post some pics tomorrow if I get the chance, or google Gorsdale Scar, plenty of places to park up for an overnight stay, we stayed on the campsite this weekend the bloke who owns it is a real character  parked a few meters from the river, dogs in and out to cool off and me wanting to pee all night :rofl

Malham is a fantastic area. There is a famous green lane called Mastiles Lane , if you came out of Gordale campsite and turned left up the lane it eventually hits Mastiles half way along. It runs from Kilnsey to Malham Tarn, then over the hill to Arncliffe. Unfortunately it has a temporary ban on vehicles. The Land Rover boys really churned it up. Go mountain bilking over there a lot though.
The water fall is called Janets Foss. Spent many a sunny day jumping off the top when young and stupid. Listers Arms and Buck Inn are great pubs.
As you can probably tell, Malham is one of my favorite spots.

I remember going to that waterfall when I was a kid, it was frozen.
eee could get quite homesick (I'm a Skipton lad).
