Just removed my rear spring seats to find lots of flaky rust underneath but arms still solid. However the spring seats have had it.
Ive half made some new ones with the pig tale recess but havnt welded on the tube bit yet.

I intend to fit a set of Trailmaster springs, do they require the pigtale recess or are they wound with a flat bottom?
Is the plastic lower spring seat washer always required? Is it to stop wear on the arm?

I cantbanswermyour question in afraid but just to say I removed my sring seats as they were bulging with rust etc...once off I decided they weren't actually in bad shape and welded them back on again! Welded right round them and then got the arms zinc dipped to prevent future unwelcome bulges.

I decided to get mine spun galvanized after all and thats what prompted me to get the old spring seats off. Did you blank off the bush tubes before galvanizing?
