Hi

On my T25 Holdsworth. The suspension set I have is HR Green (55mm) Springs and AVO (adjustable) Shocks.

I had the new kit fitted in 2007,(coupled with Powerflex Steering Rack Bush Kit), though only done say 10,000 miles on the kit. The ride just seems a bit too all over the place (Ie too bouncy). I have the AVO’s on the hardest settings, but when I see a bumpy road I wince!

I have put up with it over the years, but now had enough of the ride spoiling my enjoyment of my T25 on long journeys.

The HR Greens very proven, so probably the AVO shocks are the culprit.

My van is due a major service and with this I am really thinking of getting the shocks changed to my satisfaction. I heard Bilstein the best.

Has anyone in the club any recommendations?

i had avo,s on my van and less than a year they were leaking they seemed very cheaply made i now run bilstein b6 shocks its another world

Yes I forgot to mention I had the same issue. After 18 months I had to send 2 back to be rebuilt as MOT failed them for leaking.

B6 sound the business!

They a good shock then?

Bilstein dont make bad ones ,if that answers your queery

I too am in the same situation with my shocks, i have an AVO 60mm lowered brickwerks kit fitted and one of my front shocks is pretty much shot i think, wheel rubbing under arch on bumpy roads, so i'm also wondering if these bilstein shocks will run ok with the avo lowered springs?

New shocks won't stop the wheel from rubbing the arch, the springs heve obviousley 'sagged', the old -'60's were shyte.

I had them and then got some of the new -50's and they are much better.
