WBX performance camshafts

Lets have a sensible conversation...I've been looking around for a while, then came across an old topic (2007) on Shop Talk where "pocketrocket" who I think is called Rocky, had developed a good torquey grind for the 025 engine in the US. Anyone know if he's still making them?
I'm not looking to reinvent the wheel, so if there's a cam that genuinely suits the watercooled engine when fitted into a 1500kg+ brick like ours then I'm very interested.
Standard camshaft supply seems to be drying up at a rate of knots and it seems a bit silly to go searching for what is actually a profile developed in the late 1970's. Aircooled big-banger performance stuff is a minefield and what with the oil pump gear differences and most of them going into race bugs or Baja sand racers, seem to be completely inappropriate for our needs.
In a word, if there's a hydraulic cam out there that will allow a 2.1 to pull from 1500 and run out of breath at 5500 with a solid torque curve, respectable idle manners and modest thirst, then that's what I want for the next build.
If it needs a change in rocker ratio, that's fine. I really like the Speedshop exhaust, it works well and is available over here so I'd use that every time too. Injection or carbs? I want to go sequential on the next one with MegaSquirt, probably with throttle bodies too. If that works then I'll apply the same approach to the s/c engine which I really want to get moving, it's been an age since I looked in the box of parts!
