Hello,
New on here.
Like the name says, van is VERY rusty.
Not looking for a restoration job because I have neither the funds nor the patience.
Having said that, dont want a bodge either, I would like ( need) some new panels fitted here and there, and some spray work.
Any suggestions of where to go most appreciated.

I may have it wrong, but :
Only thing that bothers me a bit is the desire of many of these specialised places to want to do a full restoration in order to make it worth their while and protect their reputation.
Nothing wrong in that, just that I havent got the time or money for the van to undergo a full resto, and to be honest its not worth it.
If it was a Westy or something then yes.............................
If Busmeister can do a a bit of panel fitting and some spray here and there then great,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but from the pics of whats in his workshop he looks like a specialised restoration kind of business.

Anyone else with alternatives still much appreciated.

If it's not too far away , check out Campershack at Grantham....might be what you are looking for.

To be honest full restos dont make as much money as some people would like you to think.

A colleague has just left his Westy with Busmeister for a small amount of paintwork to be done. He is taking it back later this year for a bit of rust around the windows to be looked at...... That is how Busmeister work.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ totally agree with above,thats why most bodyshops dont want them or they take them on and mess you about for months to the point that will make you both fall out.Try jim painter heard good things about him^^^^,or if your strugling i could help,dont really want to tho.lol.I could fix you up with a budget ey job,which i think your after or i could get it all blasted in and out or dipped and coated if youve got money to waste on a old 25yr old van.Out of interest how much do you think a budgety paint job will cost,as paint and materials are exp?

He takes on jobs big and small. Robin is a top bloke and will tell you as it is. Just had a gearbox fitted and can not fault his work. Going back in soon for some more work to be carried out.

And yes, spoken with Busmeister and he certainly is helpful and interested in doing "keep it alive " panel work as well as "top notch restorations "
