Engine cutting out when slowing down/idling

Hi, wonder if anyone can help before I take my bus to the garage. Just come back from a camping trip to the coast and have had trouble when slowing down for a junction/roundabout etc. If i happen to have the brake pressed at the same time of the clutch even slightly, the engine cuts out. Occasionally if I immediately pop it back into second gear and let the clutch out while still rolling the engine will kick back in. Obviously we made it back, by having to completely drop out of all gears and apply the brake when coming to junctions. But even then the odd time it cuts out.
Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this trouble? BTW "Elvis" is a 1986 T25 High-top.
Many thanks.

Apologies: Its its a petrol engine with LPG conversion (if that helps any more!)

Sounds like a fault with the wire connecting the fuel cut off valve. This happened to me a few years ago. It should only operate when the ignition is switched off. If it is that it is easy to fix. That's the simplest suggestion, but it may be something more complicated.
