I'm totally new at this whole forum thing, as well as the whole 'trying to fix a van' thing, so though asking would be the best start.

I've bought a van last weekend with the intention of doing her up over the next few months and learning (slowly) as I go.

I've read through the wiki a few times, and unfortunately it just doesn't go as simple as I need it to in this instance!!

Could anybody tell me what part is missing from here?
I know it's a pretty simple question, but it's driving me insane!!

Well.. I can't see any sign of the top of the damper* which I imagine should be poking through the turret. Plus rubber ring, big fat washer and a nut, of course.

* known as a shock absorber to the unenlightened.

I'd assume I'm still missing the rubber ring?

Ignore me, just found the info I needed in the archive.
Will contact VW to try and get hold of one.
