just took the van to have its mot and was struggling to get gears in top end of gearbox (1.6 td 5 speed) ie reverse 2nd and 4th managed to get it to garage then felt something break and the gearstick came out!

Havnt had any feedback from garage yet , has anyone had a similar experience and if so please tell, thanks

Been there done that, mine was simple, a break in the gear stick (had been welded previously) they seem to break after years of mixing bowl gear changes! bought a new one and a refresh kit from Brickwerks and all was good, hope yours is as simple a fix.
