Hi all,

I've been reading about wheels to fit on my T25 for the past month... read everything available on most of the forums, but i'm still wanting someone to re-assure me that i'll be able to get these wheels on before I buy them, then realise that they don't.... they are on ebay here and are 1000km's away from me, so i've got to get them posted.

So, the wheels are a 20" 8.5" width, with a 112 x 5 stud pattern and an ET offset of ET40.

I understand that the standard wheels are ok from ET30 - ET39, so i'm hoping that these will just fit straight on.

the tyres that are on the wheels are 235/40/20 all round, so i'm hopeful that I can keep these on too.

any advice on what i'm gonna need, spacers, different nuts etc, would really be appreciated.

Personally I think 20" will definately not fit without taking off your expansion tanks or rubbing away the tyre on the steering knuckle or wheel arch and if they do will be a horrendous drive but I'll let the experts explain properly.

With those tyres they are too big on the diameter
Possibly catch the arches if t's lowered
Are the tyres rated for a two tonne van.. Like 95+ ?
Will the wheels take a 2.5 tonne load
Will your insurers be happy with this modification?

Springs and shocks are just stock for now. No rubbing whatsoever. I think if it was lowered I might run into issues on the fronts as it is pretty close already.

Add a bit of weight (driver, passengers, camping stuff and then you are getting closer. Also, could you get Commercially rated tyres??? Standard car tyres are a no no.

Well, I think that i'll just have to settle with getting some 18's on it so I can get proper load rated tyres.

20" rubber is mainly going to be intended for big 4x4s - Rangies, Q7s, Cayennes, X5s - a big chunk heavier than our vans...

I had 19s on my van 8.5 on the front cant remember the offset and i never had a issue and it was lowered. Only thing was they looked to big on the front so dont know how 20s would look. Down to personal taste at the end of the day. As yes there were load rated tyres that would hold the weight of my 1.6 tonne panel van!
