Anyone found a warm duvet that packs down smaller than others. Looking at baavet (gill is into wool) anyone one one? I use a drybag to compress the duvet when not in use but always looking at smaller packages.

Pure goose down packs smaller, is lighter and warmer than other Down, down/feather/wool or synthetic. Not cheap though.

Many years ago, I sort of inherited my uncles down sleeping bag (I was small when he died but dad kept it and later I did use it a few times before it disintegrated. It was a Blacks, was warm as toast and packed into its own hood. Not flash but worked. For the van maybe a double would be ample.

Try duvet and pillow warehouse, had good prices a couple of years ago.

Oh, and it shouldn't get wet - isn't warm then and takes forever to dry out
