Bleed ring repair

So after an engine bay inspection, it was decided that the bleed ring was becoming a liability and a cause of coolant loss.
It would be replaced as soon as a suitable part was found
Inspection reveled rust and a calamity not far ahead. It also looks like it had started weeping with the rust in the surrounding area
removal reveled just how close it was
plus a blockage
new plastic bleed ring fitted to later vans
All fitted nicely and no issues
Just shows that diligence is a most important part of owning a T25

Bullet firmly dodged there, I think. That was utterly knackered...

A little light pressure after it was out and it fell to bits

It wouldn't be impossible to replicate - easy, using the right diameter hose. The t-pieces might take a little hunting, but I can't imagine they're that hard, either.

Could try using silicon hose and brass t pieces, has worked for me for smiles of miles so far

Of course if needs be I would have come up with something.
But the search for spares is an ever present thing.
...and this time it paid off with a ten minute fix
